Yikes! Talk about scary. Carrie Underwood’s five month old son, Isaiah was locked in the family car by the dog.
Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher welcomed their son Isaiah in February. Underwood shared the news of the incident on Twitter saying,
“When your dogs manage to lock themselves, all your stuff & the baby in the car & you have to break a window to get in. #WhatAreTheChances.”
While Carrie didn’t provide any additional details about the incident, one can assume what transpired. Carrie was getting ready to leave the house and was packing the car. As you know when you have an infant, leaving the house is like packing for a three week trip to another country. You need a change of clothes, formula, a pack and play, a stroller, diapers, toys and anything else you can think of to bring. Add the family dog and it is just utter chaos.
Underwood owns two dogs, a dachshund mix named Penny and her rat terrier Ace. Two small dogs, who if they are anything like my dog, love to stand next to the window where all the controls are located and try to claw their way out. The dog hit the wrong button and ending up locking the car doors.
Can you imagine having your baby locked in a car? And the sheer panic that Underwood must have felt?
Thankfully, Underwood can tweet about it and make jokes because it could have been a lot more serious.
Friday was Underwood and Fisher’s fifth wedding anniversary. Underwood is the headline performer at Fort Laramie in Ohio for the 2015 “Country Concert.”
What do you think about what happened with Carrie and her son getting locked in the car? Being a first time mother is not easy. Has anything like this ever happened to you?? Leave a comment and let us know.
