Is Ariana Grande trying to turn the nightmare incident that took place when she and a friend decided to lick a donut into a positive and advocate for the obese children in America?
After saying she hates America and Americans, Grande has come under fire for her comments she made privately while in a donut shop. Trying to turn the incident into a positive, Grande released a statement pointing out all the problems with America saying,
“As an advocate for healthy eating, food is very important to me and I sometimes get upset by how freely we as Americans eat and consume things without giving any thought to the consequences that it has on our health and society as a whole. The fact that the United States has the highest child obesity rate in the world frustrates me. We need to do more to educate ourselves and our children about the dangers of overeating and the poison that we put into our bodies. We need to demand more from our food industry.”
Is it just us or does that statement sound like someone trying to turn a public relations nightmare into something positive?
It isn’t long before we see Grande in front of Congress begging for help for the Americans who eat and consume things without giving it any thought. Begging them to help the American people to eat healthy.
The statement seems to be a pop artist grasping at straws to maintain her fan base. Since when should anyone who is at a donut shop discuss consuming food or obesity. The only thing Grande has in common with obese children is a few of them may be her fans. Other than that, discussing overeating when you are caught speaking about your hatred for Americans is just a lame attempt at an apology.
